Hobgoblins

Taller, meaner, and better organised than their smaller cousins. Five kits, so this is a small range, but it’s a complete one.

You get warriors with axes, warriors with swords, archers, wolf raiders, and a wolf raider hero to lead them. That’s enough to field them as their own force or to bulk out a goblin army that needs some actual discipline in the middle of the line.

28mm scale, resin and 3D printed, made to order in Virginia. Compatible with Hobgoblin, Greathelm, and One Page Rules, and they rank up on squares.

Painting-wise these sit in a nice spot. The skin is still forgiving the way goblin skin always is, but the armour and the cloth give you somewhere to actually put a highlight if you feel like slowing down. I’d do them in two passes: everything fast and dirty first, then go back and pick out the metal on the ones in the front rank. Nobody’s looking at rank three.
