Chimelings are some of the strangest little souls in the Bellwoken host, made not from people, but from the spirits of dead pets: cats, dogs, and even mice given a second life through Voss's work. The ritual gave them new bodies, new instincts, and sometimes the ability to speak and reason. Most of the time.

Loyal, excitable, and dangerously unpredictable, they love their kin with fierce devotion. In battle, that devotion turns wild, and the Chimeling Berserkers throw themselves at the enemy in a storm of brass knuckles, tiny fury, and bad decisions. They may be small, but no one in the Citadel calls them harmless.
